	The Birds of America from Drawings Made in the United States and its Territories, New York: J.J. Audubon; Philadelphia: J. B. Chevalier, 1840-1844. Illustrations by J. T. Bowen & Endicott. Six Subsequent Editions published in 1856, 1859, 1860, 1861, 1865 (Lockwood), 1870-1. These are the original Octavo version of Birds of America by John James Audubon. Only the first edition was published prior to his death in 1851.
	The Birds of America, Re-issued by John Woodhouse Audubon, chromolithography by Julius Bien, New York, Roe Lockwood, 1858-60. This edition is the only full sized facsimle edition produced by the Audubon family. It is known as the 'Bien Edition', and was never completed.
	The Birds of America, New York, The MacMillan Company, 1937. With an Introduction and Descriptive Text by William Vogt. Oversized volume reproducing all 435 of Audubon's original plates plus 65 later plates from the octavo version. Quality is marginal. Many subsequent editions produced by Macmillan. Later editions with fewer plates and in smaller format.
